I hope the people is listening, I could never sell my soul
I gave it back to God at my christening
CyHi could not have sold his soul, because he gave it to God when he affirmed that he follows Christ. At a Christening, a man confirms that his soul belongs to God alone, giving himself to the Lord’s protection.
CyHi is referring to the deal supposedly offered by the Illuminati to musicians. They ask that the person sell their soul to the devil in exchange for fame and fortune. In real life, this stems from a rapper’s poor choice to jump into a label contract, stuck spewing what ever propaganda the label deems necessary.
