Truth might still be alive like true and false
The way he says alive sounds like he’s saying lie. Thus the true and false contrast. “Truth might still be alive” means he is holding on to faith in human goodness and intelligence, but “truth might still be a lie” shows his lingering scepticism and mistrust of people.
Also like a true or false test, the truthful and correct answer could be false. i.e. The Earth is flat. True or False?
