You be talkin' bout your kush, you should come and hear my lawn sing
TRIPLE ENTENDRE ALERT. (Or maybe a double-and-a-half.)
Loud weed is a very good strand of weed, and he’s comparing the strength of his weed to that of his alarm (‘larm). When Lupe wakes up, he works hard, while other people are smoking and doing nothing. He is telling these rappers that they should wake up because they’re not really about the life that they claim to be. Or telling them to wake up because life isn’t about smoking weed all day. Do something productive with your fame. Go out and change the world, as he instructs at the end of the video for his song Battle Scars.
Lupe also pronounces the word as “lawn”, referencing how loud his grass (weed) is.
This also be a play on the previous line about the little shop, as The Little Shop of Horrors is a musical.
