The White House looks like a temple in its own rights. With all its room and all the space it has.
If there is only one, then you would assume that it’s the headquarters of something.
Note the similarities between current discourse of Religion and Politics: both have large numbers of followers and no one knows what is actually going on behind closed doors.
With these last two bars, Lupe suggests that in the improved society, politics would be the new religion, because politics takes decisions by men for men’s behalf, regardless of each one’s differences. In the sense that people would be so careful and full of atention about it, it would be confused as a religion. It’s also a commentary on how society is becoming much less religious & more political. Therefore, the White House, would be the “temple”.
