This new New York feels wrong
Babylon here but the towers gone
Most likely referencing the Tower of Babel, which was located in ancient Mesopotamia and included the Babylonian empire. Talib is using Babylon in the Rastafarian sense of the word which basically means a destructive and/or oppressive institution. What he is saying here is that the new New York doesn’t feel right (possibly since 9/11) and that Babylon (corruption/oppression) remains but the World Trade Center towers are gone. SICK LINE!
