A sucker punch is retaliation that no one sees coming. Kendrick’s music is a sucker punch in that he attacks the negatives that plague the youth of his city. It is not often that a rose can grow from the concrete; somehow Kendrick was able to survive.

Those who prefer guns to solve their problems, as opposed to “walkin' up” like a man, can get a taste of their own medicine and “eat a wall of bullets"
Essentially, the message here is what goes around comes around.
