Told the world, "I'm black and comely"
This is a quote from Song of Solomon 1:5-6 which means means ‘I’m dark skinned but beautiful’.
“5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept."
However, this bar is not completely accurate. KP says he is “black and comely” like Solomon. Although Solomon may have been black, he didn’t actual say this. It was one of his 700 wives.
