Why the fuck does every lyric site have this ridiculous line? You know what “She’s responding, top of C. Bronson” sounds like? Like Hov was trying to get with this chick at a house party, only to walk in on the chick riding Charles Bronson (of “Death Wish” fame) cowgirl-style. Does that sound like something Jay-Z would rap about? If that did, in fact, happen, do you think he’d want to mention what would have to be one of the most embarrassing moments of his life? No, he wouldn’t.

The actual lyric is “She’s responding, top is C. Ronson”, as in “She’s wearing a top that was designed by Charlotte Ronson for her clothing brand, C. Ronson.” Jay actually signed Samantha Ronson to Rocafella at one point, and it’s a well-known fact that he is friends with the Ronson family. Charlotte Ronson created her first clothing line, C. Ronson, in 2000, so it makes a little more sense that Jay would be giving a friend’s fledgling fashion label a shout-out, rather than giving props to Charles Bronson, who Jay very well may be great friends with, though I have my doubts.
