This can also be heard as “comets” which goes along with the stars also referenced in the line. What 3 Stacks asks is why do we try so hard to be something incredible (stars), just so we can do more mundane things (dodge comets).

Andre seems to have a thing with stars/comets as a metaphor, having said similar lines on both Skew It on the Bar-B and John Legend’s Green light.
