Seven years more mature and after a reunion with his father, these lines show that Jay has come to view his conception as a beautiful thing — “made love under a sycamore tree” Even though his father leaving caused him a lot of pain and struggle, he’s come to terms with the fact that it has made him what he is today. It’s how he became a stronger person and a better artist.
