City where the weather gets warm and the blood drops
A very clever use of juxtaposition and indirect antithesis. Vic says that when it gets warm outside (temperature rises), murders increase (blood drops).
Deaths when it’s warm out are mostly due to kids being out of school, as many gang members in Chicago are in their mid-teens.
