The children are looking at an actuarial prediction of 25 years — supposedly this is based on a survey done in the 80s that concluded with the finding that inner city males growing up in the ghetto had a life expectancy of 25 years due to violence, drugs, no healthcare, etc.
Sounds like a low-ball estimate to begin with..but hey! At least the kids are still alive (good to hear).
