He could be “apologizing” for several things at this point.
For one, he could be apologizing to himself or some higher figure for all the sins he’s recently committed (such as the heavy indulgence in lust/sex).
He could be apologizing to the girl’s (possible) new guy for the disrespect dished to him throughout this song (“Fuck that nigga”).
- He could be repenting to this girl for messing up and dialing her up with all these issues…
(It could also be any combination of all three.)
This closure is how Drake ultimately reacts to the “shame” he mentions he has earlier in the verse. Whether this is sincere or not…up for some debate (considering he is severely drunk at this point).
