Subj: Last resort

After witnessing what Dorner feels to be corruption and brutality (detailed within the manifesto), he sent this letter and committed his crimes as a last resort; it’s the desperate plea of a man who tried to internally change the system in a law-abiding manner, but was ultimately driven to crime from the things he witnessed.

This sentiment is expressed almost perfectly in Papa Roach’s very popular song, “Last Resort”.
