Left me in corners, buckled me accompanied by evil hands clapping
Alright, very first rap lyric explanation here on rap genius…here I go.
I can never tell whether Vordul Mega on this album is some 2deep4u metaphorical lyrical genius beyond human comprehension or if he’s just a satrical dumbass rapping random shit.
If I believe the former, here’s my vague interpretation of this lyric:
“He’s left in corners”. He’s left surrounded, clastrophbic, and trapped…other more obviously, “cornered”, by all the hardships previously described in this album. It also may represent evil forces, as a simple example, “playground bullies” or the evils of New York city which are forcing him into a corner and metaphorically harassing him.
Buckled me, fuck I don’t know. Harassing him again. Evil hands clapping? Those shame evil forces which are talked about in length in this album are sarcastically congratulating him for sinking to their depths and being unable to escape either their grasp, or succumbing and accepting to their ways.
Of course, this line comes after a line which describes him in a bad place (food stamps), but is followed by a triumphant and optimistic line. So I guess this is line is a sort of short transitionary phase where he fights back against the hardships of urban new york poverty.
I am high as fuck right now.
420 blaze it faggot.
This is still my favourite rap album I’ve ever heard. And I heard it when I was 12 years old back in 2001 before it was even released, so I am totally not a hipster backpacker. I thought I would just help explain this left out lyric to all you plebs. I’m going to go and listen to some rap music you probably haven’t heard of yet. It’s 2deep4u. This rapper has only released 5 mixtapes. And I picked them up in a Brooklyn street market. even though I live in Scotland. FUCK. AND I SMOKE
BLUNT AFTER BLUNT AFTER BLUNT AFTER BLUNT AFTER BLUNT AFTER BLUNT AFTER
