They say anything worth having is worth the wait
Well I want the world, tell me how long that takes
“They say anything worth having is worth the wait” is an old saying. It means if you wait long enough, and put in enough work into something, your hard work will eventually pay off. However, Kendrick in this line says he wants the world, which is unrealistic. Saying this means a couple of things. First, should he continue doing what he is doing if his dream won’t pay off? Can anything really happen? Eventually he is going to do by the time he makes little progress. Kendrick is basically saying it won’t happen with time, so he has to take time into consideration with everything he does.
Also, note the alliteration with the letter W.
