Chance references President Bill Clinton’s famous response when asked about his experience with marijuana:
“When I was in England, I experimented with marijuana a time or two, and I didn’t like it. I didn’t inhale and never tried it again.”
Unlike Clinton, nobody would ever buy a kid from Chicago’s version of the same story.
From the last line about him ‘not believing in’ anything, he “inhaled” a life of sin. He’s setting the record for anyone who thought he wasn’t smoking — and his yellowed-smile gives this away anyway (or so he claims, looks like pearly white to us):
“Inhaled” sounds a little like “in hell”, maybe suggesting he’s going to hell because of not believing in anything or being an atheist. Kinda what Kendrick Lamar says in H.O.C.
This bar is reminiscent of his line in “Lost”:
“I will smoke a little something but I don’t inhale
