Knots in my socks,
Cops think I'm selling rocks
“Knots in my socks” is a very common way of the ghetto street drug dealer to put his large sum of money in his socks.
In this and all the next lines does it also refer to a very racial profiling, which is a problem for African Americans still till the day we see. This is an element of the song that makes it seem real and not a distinctive fictional story made up by Big L as usually.
In the next line does Big L state, that just because he have money in his socks, does the police think that he is selling drugs.
