When we did work out of state, we would have everything planned down to the finest detail — but then get caught by a cop for no good reason, like “driving 55 in a 54.” Of course, the sarcasm in the speed limit being 54 is another way of saying that we’re being pulled over for no good reason.
This is suspiciously similar to Nelly’s line in “Greed Hate Envy”.
