I'm aware I'm a king
Back out the tomb bitch
Black out the room, bitch
Kanye knows that he’s a king of modern pop culture (given his penchant for pharaonic imagery, he gives it a decidedly Egyptian spin). But he’s tired of all the media attention — they need to BACK THE FUCK UP!
This also relates to Jesus (“King of Kings”), given Ye’s been calling himself “Yeezus” lately (and of course his newest album will bear that title). Just as Jesus left his tomb after three days of being dead (being resurrected), Kanye has returned to popularity from any number of controversies that for another celebrity might prove career-ending (“Bush doesn’t care about Black people,” the Taylor Swift VMA incident, etc.)
This is similar to his imagery used in “Monster”.
Also note the wordplay between the werewolf from the last lines and the mummy from these, both being supernatural, monster-beings.
