Seems like the ones who rung never got a ring
Wale’s playing with “wrong” / “rung” and (wedding) “ring” / (phone) “ring”: men don’t propose to women who get rung on the telephone tonight for a booty call and they don’t propose to girls who are wrong (bad, sexually “naughty” like Rihanna).
He’s also getting back a Rihanna because in the previous line she says he’s “not a king”, and he responses by saying that she’s wrong (incorrect) and so he’s not going to call her (and therefore she’s not going to get any more of that Wale League Pass).
But if Wale really liked it then he should’ve put a ring on it…
In the background, a ringing telephone is featured, suggesting that bad girls just get used without any emotional aspect or second dates/booty calls.
