Love is war, end up on the floor
But baby you only lose when you don't swing back
Love is reflected when two people make a mutual effort to stay together and sometimes that effort might be through arguments and fights.
Yet occasional “warring” is healthy and you only lose the relationship when no one cares enough to fight back and work out the problems.
“On the floor” could mean the make up sex they have after that.
Remember that scene in “Mr & Mrs Smith” when they are shooting at each other in the house basically tearing the house apart [the war] and minutes later they end up having sex in that mess they created on the floor… I got that visual when i listened to the song :)
