I'm geechee ho
from Rick Ross (Ft. Styles P) – B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast) Lyrics on Rap Genius
“I’m Geechee, hoe” as in I’m “country”, i.e. from the south. Geechee is a term used often by those in the south to represent those who are direct descendants of african slaves and often used in a playful manner to describe those who speak in a dialect often not understood by northerners or most Americans for that matter. How do I know this? My dad’s family is Geechee.
I draw your attention to the Wiki definition as seen described under “Gullah” —> “The term Geechee is an emic term used by speakers (and can have a derogatory connotation depending on usage) and "Gullah” is a term that was generally used by outsiders but that has become a way for speakers to formally identify themselves and their language."
