Rap Genius coverage and preview Lyrics

We at Rap Genius always want to be the best. After all, we are the 'Internet Talmud.' With this in mind, we are going to go hard body at the FIFA World Cup, under the umbrella of Sports Genius (and that is under the Umbrella of News Genius, it is all circles within circles here.)

We already have the draw heavily annotated. We have seen no other site that went into as much detail as us.

We are going to provide:

  • Matchday Pages (like those from the Confederations Cup)
  • Opinion pieces about the games, events and players
  • High quality gifs straight up stolen from other sites

  • In terms of the WC, we have some idea what on site coverage we are going to do, but the chances are:
  • People in and around Brazil doing stuff. We don't know what, but they will be there
  • If they are, possibly videos and maybe interviews (we shall see)
  • BUT WE NEED YOU TOO!

Any suggestions of potential ways we could cover the World Cup would be great (shout out to the good Dr for this idea....) Leave them in the comments below- we will get back to you!

Now this is where you all come in. We need mad amounts of interest in the Sports Genius product to make this fly. So write stuff for us, we can promote it. Use the forums, and hit us up on Social Media.

We can do great coverage, but we need your help!

    To Help:
  • Keep following and interacting with our Facebook/Twitter/whatever
  • Check out the Sports Genius forum
  • And tell everyone all about them
  • How to Format Lyrics:

    • Type out all lyrics, even repeating song parts like the chorus
    • Lyrics should be broken down into individual lines
    • Use section headers above different song parts like [Verse], [Chorus], etc.
    • Use italics (<i>lyric</i>) and bold (<b>lyric</b>) to distinguish between different vocalists in the same song part
    • If you don’t understand a lyric, use [?]
