In the midst of a system of surveillance and oppression, described in the verse above, resistance can seem impossible, and individual effort futile. But Mos argues that with enough numbers, that resistance can suddenly become formidable, just as Hegel argued that changes in quantity can at certain thresholds become changes in quality.
