Lord forgive those that trespass against us
Adapted from the famous “Lord’s Prayer” (also called the “Our Father”) which can be found in the New Testament in Matthew 6.
The twist in this line is that in the traditional prayer the speaker asks to be forgiven just as those that trespass (sin) against them are forgiven. Evidence’s verse omits one important detail: he asks God to forgive the sinners, though makes no mention of forgiving them himself.
