Again, the Vampire analogy continues. She is saying don’t run and leave her standing at the alter. This isn’t the end, like stepping into the sun; there is no need to be afraid. Vampires are usually portrayed as vulnerable to death upon exposure to sunlight, hence why they are active at night.
