Rappers don’t see the awesomeness of Lupe, unlike his lyrical equals. Also it continues the extended circle metaphor that goes on through this entire verse with “circle of peers”.
“They ain’t serious as the circle of my peers.” In many other Lupe songs he pronounces the word “serious” similarly to the way he did in this line, thus making it have multiple meanings. He’s saying that other rappers aren’t as serious or lyrical as the ones Lupe considers to be on the same level as him.
