[Produced by Snugsworth & Additional production by Marvel Alexander]
This Record came about in many stages.
First off I Started a small record label/creative collective named “Modern Outfit” and about a year and a half i recruited Snugsworth to be in it, i heard some work he did with another artist of mines named Ice Edwards and i really liked his material. After a couple of months of exchanging beats files to collaborate on i came across the song you all know now as shabba. At the time it was called “analyze”. I knew it was a hit right away. I worked on the beat but it was already so good i didnt want to change too much so i replaced a few of the drum sounds made everything sound tight mixing wise and edited the sample so it looped correctly. A long time friend of mines Crystal Caines (producer of “Lord”) had been working with ASAP Ferg for a while and was mixing his material. I would give her some pointers mixing wise just be helpful because ive been an audio engineer for quite a while and she was some what new to it. One day she was in the studio with him and told me to send her some beats for Ferg. Immediately i thought of “analyze” i knew once he heard it that would be it. Come to find out he really loved the record. At first it was just ferg on the record but a couple of months later i got news that Rocky was also going to be featured on it as well which was dope news to myself and snugsworth. Its super ironic because i reached out to Asap Rocky to work with him before he got his record deal and would talk to him somewhat frequently. After the deal came it was impossible to get a hold of him. Nearly 2 years later we have a song together and he prolly has no idea about. I thought that was a cool story of mines. Hopefully it wont be the last, go pick up that Trap Lord in stores NOW.
