GSH once again bitterly mocks the SDS and other white “revolutionary” groups, calling them “four year revolutionar[ies]” to question their long-term devotion to the causes they espouse. “Four-year” implies that their commitment will not outlast their college education, a youthful fling that will quickly be given up so that they can enter the white power structure and perpetuate (directly or indirectly) the subordination of blacks.
