Life became worse than his most tenacious nightmare
He throws his heart out, to be fair, should've been pre-emptive care
He couldn't vanish under a bully's stare
Relating back to DL’s opening lines, this character has been hit hard by the shadow’s effects. He responds out of frustration, lashing out as if the threat were physical.
However, this would only have been a fair fight, with fists, if he had used them in the past against the boy in the corner. If he were getting beaten up often, then at least he would be getting some attention. Also, something physically can’t vanish from your sight if you’re looking right at it.
