I sold more dope than I sold records
You niggas sold records, never sold dope
Everyone familiar with King Push knows he’s serious about his past coke dealing days as his name is even short for Push-a-Ton. To “push” means to deal. He commonly mentions his former (and possibly future) days of dealing. This is also a jab at other rappers who claim they deal, but really only say that to sell records.
Although rappers have sold a lot of records or albums, that doesn’t mean their music was “dope”. Dope is also slang for something great.
