Oversized clothes and chains we off that
Niggas still making it rain and we off that
Cause you can't bring the future back, back
Tell them haters get off me, the Cris' we off that
Timb's we off that, rims we off that
With the whole “gangsta rap” scene, oversized clothes and chains, throwing money in the air at strip-clubs, drinking Crystal, wearing Timberland boots and putting huge rims on their cars were all common rap stereotypes at the time of the album’s release.
Because they’re ahead of the game, Drake and Jay Z are on to creating new stereotypes and fashions for the rap scene -they’re on to the next one!
Drake has been ticking those items off his list in ensuing years; all that’s left for him to backtrack on his rims.
