Ab-Soul (Herbert Anthony Stevens IV) comes in with the first rap feature of the album in which he reminisces over his childhood, and more specifically his rebel like nature during it. Stevens is a member of California super group Black Hippy, and is signed to both Top Dawg Entertainment & Interscope Records.
Mac described how the feature came about with SourceTV;
You know he came at me for 50 racks ($50,000) off top for the verse; I was like “Sold”. But I tried to tell him “You need to pay me 50 racks to get on the song, so we ended up having a thumb war, I won and then he got on the record.
