But I'm a rebel stressing, to pull out of the heat no doubt
With Jeeps tinted out, spending never holding out
Nas is a rebel to the American system because of the perspective he’s gained from a childhood growing up in the streets, and ever since birth, he’s been under an enormous amount of stress trying to get out of the ghetto (“pull out of the heat”), and no one can really doubt that mindstate, and if they do, they probably didn’t grow up in the projects. Now that Nas has made it, you can see him rolling in Jeeps with tinted windows so that cops can’t see him smoking weed inside them, and straight up ballin', always spending money and buying out the bars and shit, and never holding out or trying to save it. His mindstate is that he’ll live it up to the fullest now that he’s made it, because he never could when he was dirt poor living in the ghetto.
