This view became very popular with the release of Berkeley physicist, science historian, and philosopher of science Thomas Kuhn’s massively influential book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, which shed significant doubt on science’s ability to be objective. The book almost single-handedly obliterated the popular materialistic philosophy of logical positivism after its release in 1962.
