Even before Eminem had any money he still wanted to be a great rapper. The symbol of his being poor is the crappy old Lincoln he used to drive before he got famous. White walls are tires with a white line around the rim, as shown in the picture below.

Eminem referenced this Lincoln in one of his earlier songs,“Desperado”, and then brought it up again on this album for “Bad Guy”.
