Mr. Bob Dole
You're too old to understand the way the game's told
You're lame so I gotta hit you with the hot facts

from 2Pac (Ft. JoJo & K-Ci) – How Do U Want It Lyrics on Rap Genius

Bob Dole, born in 1925 (damn thats old!) like C. Dolores Tucker and a lot of other old ass white politicians, worked effortlessly to eliminate Rap and Hip-Hop for promoting violence. The former senator back in 1995 during his run for office, pressured Time Warner for selling rap albums by Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre.

After months of pressure, Time Warner Inc. eventually decided to abandoned the gangsta rap business, shifting their $115 million dollar share to Interscope Records. Bob Dole celebrated stating;

“As I declared in Hollywood last May [1995] and have repeated across the country, shame is a powerful weapon—and Time Warner has felt the sting of shame…Parents and concerned citizens spoke out and now we’re seeing real results.”

While Gangsta rappers like Ice T were disappointed in the move by Time Warner;

“It’s a sad day for Warner. Warner has always been considered the biggest outlet for free speech. These special interest groups won’t stop the music though. Rap and hip-hop will still be around long after the presidential race is over, long after all the politicians crawl back into their holes.”

Looks like the nigga was right. Although the Soulja Boy thing on the other hand…
