Black people are being put in prison with unfair sentences for drug dealing (which is a violation of the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution. But Nas is too smart to get nailed — he “prevails”, or triumphs over, a system rigged against him.
“Uncorrect” may seem, well, incorrect — but it is good English, albeit a bit antiquated.
The hanging cross line is a reference to the crucifixion of Christ. Nas saw black people being persecuted similarly to Jesus and living through that struggle gave him insight.
The bails are “uncorrect” because
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
