End like Leviathan, it's deep, well let me try again
Wisdom be leaking out my grapefruit, troop
Let’s get the simplest part out of the way with the obvious wordplay used with “begin like a violin” and “End like Leviathan”. Leviathan was a mythical beast that when killed would bring Christ back to Earth. This may be right considering the Bible’s “deep” meaning and how Christ would return, hence “try again”.
Nas continues his wordplay onslaught with the next bar, as a troop is a group of soliders or people, and grapefruit is a different word used as slang for “head”. The wisdom given off by Nas through his words will never fail to reach them in their lives. Nas has an army of his “street disciples”, as mentioned later.
