He’s referring to the fact that the inside of a gun’s barrel is scored with twisting lines to give the bullet a spin as it’s fired. This is done to make the bullet’s trajectory more accurate. Over time as the bullet travels, the same thing that makes it accurate is the same thing that makes it curve because of loss of kinetic energy.
