Trap Story, Chapter One Lyrics

Prologue

This isn't a fairy tail. There is no happy ending. Although a work of fiction, this story is real. The details are taken from my personal accounts, and that of those around me. As you read, keep in mind, real recognize real. "Our main character is a gangster as you know because this is a gangster story. But he's a different kind of gangster because he's a gangster with a conscience"

Mike sat alone in an apartment he shared with his brother Shawn. Shawn had been gone for a day, maybe two. Mike knew his brother was either trapping or fucking with hoodrats, behaviors they both knew all too well. However it seemed to Mike that he was the only one who understood the toxicity of his actions, and of the city they've grown up in. Buddy Dyer likes to call it The City Beautiful. But if you've ever lived there you'd know Orlando is nothing pretty to look at.

Mike had just finished burning a copy of Back From the Dead with the computer he borrowed from his buddy. He got up and walked out the door to find his '92 Honda Civic waiting for him in the parking lot. As he sat down on the torn leather seat, his standard issue Metro PCS phone rang.
