What people don’t understand is that it’s not the artist fault, It’s the listeners. I’m one of the several who still believes in true lyricism. There’s more to hip hop then clothing, or cars, or rapping about something else besides “girls, women, and bitches” so never will you ever find 2 Chainz, lil wayne, tyga, rick ross, (I would say drake but I enjoy some of drakes music), Soulja Boy, French Montana. So what we need to do is get the youngsters to stop listening to this bullshit music and listen to some good stuff!

2 Chainz is no different than 98% of ‘rappers’ today — 25 years ago Rap as a genre was all bout the story and the taking you through it from the beginning of the album to the end in a lot of cases, now it’s refreshing to hear a rapper get through one track on point. Also RAP wasn’t nearly as broad as today which is why I think there should be ‘official subcategories’ or entire new genres made.
