Tears from a Star: 4 Me & April Lyrics
Like tears conceived from stars
Full of brightness & energy
Seen only from afar
Tonight these tears are
full of pain but also I can feel
relief from my heart
Because the stigma is revealed
unfaithful and unforgiven
I cannot bear 2 let this be
So I must be pure
2 only her for eternity
About
In a slew of poems written about mysterious love, “April”. Tupac’s poetry moves from innocent and blissful beginnings, swooning romantic intensity, courtship, engagement to nuptials.
Yet with beautiful candor he confesses his shewd faults and imperfections as a man. He recognizes the great hurt of his infidelity, pain, heartbreak and disappointment and his broken vows. He candidly expresses his heartfelt wish to rewrite the past wrongs of his relationship.
This work, we presume, is dedicated to his former wife Keisha Morris based on the unequivocal fact that he married once and she being his first and only wife. They had gotten married on April 29, 1995. The marriage was dissolved by divorce the last year of his life, as noted in his poetry.
