The one kid that would've been Aftermath that got away
from Nas (Ft. Game & Marsha (Floetry)) – Hustlers Lyrics on Rap Genius
Nas was on The Firm, an album/Hip-Hop supergroup which included Dr. Dre.
The group was on Aftermath’s label and should have been great — but totally wasn’t.

After all the perceived hype the group received, the subsequent failure was a major low for everyone who was involved career’s. Dre decided to end the Firm project, which was his first release under Aftermath, and Nas went back to Columbia Records.
Both artists have referred to “The Firm flop” later in their careers. Most famously on Dre’s third release under Aftermath (The Slim Shady LP falling between The Firm and The Chronic 2001).
