Concrete, vagabond, van telling stories
Humbled by the road, I'm realizing I'm not important
He’s saying as he travels down the road (concrete) as a performer (vagabond), and meets more and more people that he feels less significant, that he is one of a generation who expect something more for themselves. His stories don’t compare to some of the people he’s met on his touring.
Vagabond does not necessarily mean performer. A vagabond is a person with no home, a nomad of sorts. In my mind this line is the image of the modern bard. He is carrying on the storytelling tradition as a vagabond. And as he tells his stories he receives stories that are often humbling, either in their scope, or in the way he has been involved with it (albeit on wax).
