Sending someone to the lion’s den is basically an execution, based off the writings in book of Daniel from the Bible. CG is the lion doing the killing. This is also a pun on Jay-Z’s nickname, Hov[a]. HOV becomes HIV, as in AIDS, incurable and deadly.
Hov might also be a reference to the fact that CG is a jehovah’s witness to go along with the biblical reference
