Fuckin’ up the Church money like a alter boy
The line itself is reference to the fact that altar boys are often in a position to steal money from the Church because of their responsibility of passing around and returning the collection plate. I’m guessing Wayne uses this line because he wants to claim he’s so popular, people rather spend money on his music than on being religious…? If that’s the case, this is almost as insightful as when John Lennon said the Beatles were “more popular than Jesus.” Go figure.
