Quarantine the dreams and seal off the connections
Don't let them in not a friend not a reflection
Depression: When you have depression, you seclude yourself into a dark corner of your own world; you relieve yourself of all of your friends and family, because you don’t want to face the true horror of your ailment and suffer or cause any more pain. Either that, or no one wants to deal with you because they don’t want to see a personification of THEIR own illness.
Streets- Everyone dreams to be successful and with a beautiful woman. This is what the Streets offers to you, but it is best to cut off this connection, it has already cost many men their life.
Ideas- Despite the fact that the government is trying to convince everyone that they are creating a better world, their propaganda is damaging everyone. It is easier to go with what they say, but best to go against them.
Overall this verse draws from classic vampire lore — a vampire cannot enter your home until you invite them in. Often the vampire would use it glamour to make itself appear friendly and enticing thus the supposed victim is seduced into letting them in. “Not a reflection” refers of course to the fact a vampire can’t see itself in the mirror. So Lupe compares the spread of this virus, whatever it may be, to a vampire trying to charm its way into your home.
