All of them fallin’ for the love of ballin’
‘Ye continues with the autumn theme of the last line within the word fallin’.
In this world of consumerism and glorification of wealth, many victims fall into the trap of chasing the almighty Dolla, Dolla bill, y'all and making it their number one priority, achieving it by any means.
Also, Kanye is playing off the phrase, for the love of God, suggesting that ballin' has become the god of dealers, making them too blind and caught up in selling drugs to worry about their soul.
Remember kids, money is not the root of all evil… it is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil.
Radix malorum est Cupiditas, bitches!
Kanye is also making a play on words with this line and the line before. The victims are falling like leaves. They grew up healthy and got that green (leaves / money from drug sales or illicit activities) but couldn’t hold it, like many can’t, and withered. Couldn’t last on the branch, and fell back down to earth.
